11-SEPTEMBER-2024 - BLIND WALK AND LEADERSHIP LESSONS
THE MAIN THEME: WHERE AM I HEADED TO?
TITLE: BLIND WALK AND LEADERSHIP LESSONS
The bible verse for today’s devotional is: 2 Corinthians 5:7 (NIV)
"For we walk by faith, not by sight."
Devotional:
A leader is visionary. A leader knows where he and his team are headed and guides or is guided. Vision goes beyond what the physical eyes can see. It is not what you see but how you see it that matters.
Helen Keller, who was both blind and deaf, achieved incredible things despite her challenges.. With the help of her teacher, Anne Sullivan, she learned to communicate and became a renowned author and speaker. Her story is a testament to the power of perseverance, faith and the importance of having someone to guide us.
Faith and trust in God can guide us even when we can't see the full path ahead.
Good leaders often have to walk by faith, trusting in their vision and the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Trust God with your future and develop your leadership skills. Participate in leadership activities at school or church. Lead by example and walk by faith, even when the way forward isn’t clear.
LET US PRAY:
Dear God, I want to be a good leader. Help me to walk by faith and to trust You even when I cannot see the way. Amen.
Here are a few reflective questions:
- How can I demonstrate my leadership skills in my daily life?
- Do I trust God enough to see me through to my destination?
Please say these words of affirmation. Say them, mean them, own them and live them:
- I know where I am headed
- I walk by faith, trusting in God's guidance for my life.
Be faithful with and to God today. Be good, be you. See you tomorrow.
