The bible verse for today’s devotional is: Matthew 6:20 (NIV)

"But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.."

The concept of heaven as our ultimate destination is a powerful reminder of the eternal perspective we should have as believers. 

As teenagers, you're constantly striving for excellence in school, sports, and extracurricular activities. But have you ever stopped to think about what's truly worth striving for?

Heaven is our ultimate destination, and everything you do here on earth should be heaven-worthy. That means living a life that honors God, loves others, and makes a lasting impact.

Think about it – the grades you earn, the friendships you build, and the choices you make are all investments in eternity. Every moment is an opportunity to store up treasures in heaven, where moth and rust can't destroy them as seen in today’s bible verse.

So, make every moment count!:

• Treat others with kindness and compassion, just like Jesus would
• Use our talents and gifts to make a positive difference in the world
• Stand up for what's right, even when it's hard
• Forgive and love, even when it's difficult.

By living a heaven-worthy life, you're not only preparing for eternity but also making a lasting impact on the world around you. So, strive for excellence, not just in school or sports, but in living a life that's worthy of heaven.

Remember, your time on earth is short, but eternity is forever. Make every moment count and live a life that shines for God.
