05-0CTOBER-2024 - MAXIMISING YOUR POTENTIAL

THE MAIN THEME: WHAT DO I HAVE?

TITLE: MAXIMISING YOUR POTENTIAL

The bible verse for today’s devotional is: Colossians 3:23 (NIV)

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.”

Devotional:
Once you’ve discovered your potential, the next step is to maximize them. Maximizing your potential means developing your talents to their fullest, using them in a way that honours God, and making the most of every opportunity. Just like the parable of the talents in Matthew 25:14-30, where the servants were rewarded for multiplying what they had been given, you too are called to make the most of what God has entrusted to you.

Consider the story of Michael Jordan, who was cut from his high school basketball team. Instead of giving up, he worked tirelessly to improve his skills, eventually becoming one of the greatest basketball players of all time. Jordan maximized his potential through hard work, dedication, and perseverance. One thing was for sure; he knew himself, he knew what he had in him, and so,  did not give up despite the rejection from others.

Here are a few reflective questions:

  1. How am I currently using my talents?
  2. Are there areas I can improve on if I work harder?
  3. What can I do to ensure I am making the most of my God-given abilities?

Let Us Pray:

Lord, thank You for the gifts and talents You’ve given me. Help me to maximize my potential by working hard and staying dedicated. May my efforts bring glory to Your name. Amen.

Please say these words of affirmation. Say them, mean them, own them and live them.

  • I know what I have
  • I will work diligently to maximize my God-given potential.
  • I will use my talents to glorify God and make a positive impact in the world.

May your day be a fulfilling one, lovelies. I’ll see you tomorrow.
