TITLE: BEGIN WITH THE END IN MIND

The bible verse for today’s devotional is: Proverbs 29:18 (NIV)

Where there is no revelation, people cast off restraint; but blessed is the one who heeds wisdom’s instruction. 

Devotional:

Have you ever set out on a road trip without knowing the destination? It is somehow difficult to know which way to go or when you will get there if you don’t even know where “there” is. The same is true for life. 

If you don't have a vision of where you want to go, how will you know what steps to take?  

The Bible teaches us the importance of having a clear purpose and vision. One of the best ways to ensure you are on the right path is to "begin with the end in mind." This means envisioning your future, the person you want to become, and the life God has planned for you. When you focus on the end goal, what kind of person you want to be, what values you want to live by, and how you want to serve God and others, you can make better decisions in the present. Your choices today are like stepping stones that lead you toward that future.

Here are a few reflective questions:  

• What kind of person do I want to be in five or ten years?
• What dreams has God placed on my heart? 
• What actions can I take today to start moving in that direction?  

Let Us Pray:  

Dear God, help me to see the bigger picture of my life. Give me the wisdom to make choices that align with the future You have planned for me. Guide me as I take each step, trusting that You are leading me toward a hopeful and prosperous future in Jesus name Amen.

Please say these words of affirmation after me. Say them, mean them, own them and live them:

• God knows when I will get there
• I clearly visualize my goals and trust that I am capable of achieving them.
• I am proactive in my journey, consistently making choices that lead me closer to my vision.
• I envision a bright future and take steps to achieve them 

Take good care of yourself. I’ll see you tomorrow.
