31-JANUARY-2025 - ALONE BUT NOT LONELY- FINDING SOLITUDE WITH GOD

THE MAIN THEME: WHO DO I GO WITH?

TITLE: ALONE BUT NOT LONELY: FINDING SOLITUDE WITH GOD

The bible verse for today’s devotional is: Psalm 46:10 (NIV)

Be still, and know that I am God.

Devotional:

Being alone can feel uncomfortable or even lonely. Yet, solitude can be one of the most transformative experiences when we invite God into that space.

Throughout Scripture, we see examples of people finding strength and clarity in solitude with God. Jesus often withdrew to lonely places to pray and connect with the Father (Luke 5:16). These moments were not about isolation but about intimate fellowship with God, away from distractions.

Being alone doesn’t have to mean being lonely. Solitude with God is a gift—a time to listen, rest, and grow in faith. It’s an opportunity to know Him deeply and allow His love to fill every empty space in our hearts.

If you find yourself in a season of aloneness, embrace it as a sacred time with God. Let Him renew your strength, clarify your path, and remind you that you are never truly alone.

Here are a few reflective questions:

  • How can I create more moments of solitude to connect with God?
  • Do I see being alone as a gift or as a burden? Why?
  • In what ways has God revealed Himself to me during times of stillness?

Let Us Pray:
Father, thank You for always being with me, especially in moments when I feel alone. Help me to embrace solitude as a time to draw closer to You. Amen.

Please say these words of affirmation after me. Say them, mean them, own them and live them:

  • I am never alone; God is always with me.
  • I embrace solitude as an opportunity to grow closer to God.
  • God fills every empty space in my heart with His love.
  • I find strength, clarity, and peace in God’s presence.

Do have a fulfilling day. Take good care of yourself and see you tomorrow!
