The bible verse for today’s devotional is:1 Peter 4:10 (NIV)
"Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms." –
Devotional:
Every person is uniquely gifted by God. I like the story of David, a shepherd boy overlooked by his family but chosen by God. His talent with a sling, honed during lonely days in the fields, became the tool God used to defeat Goliath. David’s strength wasn’t just his skill; it was his unwavering faith that God would use him for His glory.
Your strengths and talents may seem ordinary, but in God’s hands, they can accomplish extraordinary things. Identifying and using these gifts is an act of faith and obedience. Don’t compare your gifts to others; instead, seek God’s guidance on how to use them to serve His kingdom.
Here are a few reflective questions:
- What “slings” has God placed in your hands that you may have overlooked?
- How can you use your talents to serve others and glorify God?
- Are you willing to trust God to use your strengths in ways you cannot yet imagine?
Let Us Pray:
Father, thank You for the unique gifts and talents You have given me. Help me to identify and develop them and show me how to use them for Your glory. Amen.
Please say these words of affirmation. Say them, mean them, own them and live them:
- I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
- My talents are a gift from God, and I will use them to fulfill His divine plan.
