THE MAIN THEME: ACHIEVING PERSONAL GROWTH
TITLE: KNOWLEDGE OF SELF IN PERSONAL GROWTH
The quotes for today’s devotional are: "The more you know yourself, the more clarity there is. Self-knowledge has no end. You don’t come to an end of knowing yourself."
— Jiddu Krishnamurti
"To thine own self be true." — William Shakespeare
Devotional
It is easy to get lost in comparisons or let others define who we are, but true growth happens when we understand our identity in Christ. When you know your strengths, weaknesses, desires, and values, you are able to make decisions that align with God’s purpose for your life.
Self-knowledge isn't about becoming self-centered but about understanding how God uniquely shaped you. By embracing who you are and whose you are, you’ll grow into the person God created you to be.
Here are a few reflective questions:
- What areas of my life do I struggle to accept or understand about myself?
- How can knowing my strengths and weaknesses help me grow closer to God’s purpose for me?
- What are some steps I can take today to understand myself better?
- How can I embrace my true self while still being open to growth and change?
Let us Pray:
"Lord, help me to know myself better so I can grow in the way You’ve designed me. Help me to embrace my true identity in You and guide me in living a life that reflects Your purpose for me. Amen.”
Please say these words of affirmation after me. Say them, mean them, own them and live them:
- I am fearfully and wonderfully made by God.
- I embrace my unique strengths and talents as part of God’s plan for me.
- My worth is not defined by others, but by the One who created me.
Have a wonderful day and see you tomorrow.
