13-MARCH-2025 - RESILIENCE AND PERSONAL GROWTH

THE MAIN THEME: ACHIEVING PERSONAL GROWTH

TITLE: RESILIENCE AND PERSONAL GROWTH

The quote for today’s devotional is: "Do not judge me by my success; judge me by how many times I fell down and got back up again."

– Nelson Mandela

Devotional:
Life is full of unexpected twists—some days are smooth, while others feel like climbing a mountain in the rain. Resiliency makes the difference between success and failure—the ability to bounce back from setbacks, learn from them, and keep moving forward.

Think about Thomas Edison, the inventor of the lightbulb. He failed over a thousand times before finally getting it right. But instead of seeing failure as defeat, he saw it as a lesson, famously saying, “I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work.” His resilience led to one of the greatest inventions in history.

Personal growth requires resilience because growth isn’t always easy. It demands that we push past challenges, rejection, and disappointments. When we develop resilience, we don’t just survive hardships—we become stronger, wiser, and more prepared for future success.

Consider a seed planted in the soil. Before it can grow into a mighty tree, it faces darkness, pressure, and challenges underground. But it keeps pushing through the dirt until it reaches the sunlight. That’s resilience—persisting through difficulties until you flourish.

Regardless of your setbacks, always remember that resilience isn’t about avoiding failure but learning, adapting, and moving forward more potent than before.

Here are a few reflective questions:

  1. Can I think of a time when I overcame a challenge and grew from it?
  2. What are some obstacles in my life that require resilience right now?
  3. How can I develop a mindset that sees failure as a learning experience?
  4. What practical steps can I take to strengthen my resilience?

Let us pray:
"Dear Lord, grant me the strength to rise above challenges and the wisdom to learn from every experience. Help me develop resilience to grow into the person You have called me to be. May every setback prepare me for a greater comeback. Amen."

Please say these words of affirmation after me. Say them, mean them, own them, and live them:

  • I am stronger than my challenges.
  • Every setback is a setup for a greater comeback.
  • I embrace difficulties as opportunities for growth.
  • I will not give up—I am built for success.

Keep pushing, keep learning, and keep growing. See you tomorrow!
