09-MAY-2025 - FAILING IS NOT FINAL
THE MAIN THEME: FAILING FORWARD
TITLE: FAILING IS NOT FINAL
Our quote for today’s devotional is:
"Our greatest glory is not in never failing, but in rising every time we fall."
- Confucius
Devotional
Failing feels like the end, but in God’s plan, it is only a chapter, not the conclusion. Some of the most successful people in history failed many times before they got it right. The difference between those who succeed and those who don’t is the willingness to rise again.
Look at Peter—he denied Jesus three times, but instead of staying in guilt, he repented, received grace, and became a pillar of the early church. His failure did not define him—his response did.
If you have failed, do not quit. Get up, learn, and move forward. God still has great plans for you!
Here are a few reflective questions:
- Have I allowed past failures to define me?
- What can I learn from my most recent setback?
- How can I shift my mindset to see failure as part of the process?
Let us pray
Lord, I thank You that my failures are not final. Give me the strength to rise again and the wisdom to learn from my mistakes. I trust that You are leading me toward something greater. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Please say these words of affirmation after me. Say them, mean them, own them, and live them:
- I may fall, but I will rise again.
- God’s plan for my life is still unfolding.
- I learn and grow from every experience.
- My failures are not the end; they are a new beginning.
Do have a fulfilling day. Take good care of yourself and see you tomorrow!
