Many of us were taught to fear failure, to see it as an end, a mark of inadequacy, or proof that we are not good enough. But what if failure is actually a stepping stone to success?

The Bible is full of stories of people who failed but did not remain in their failure. Peter denied Jesus three times, yet he became a pillar of the early church. David fell into sin, but he repented and was still called a man after God’s heart. The key to their transformation was not that they never failed, but that they failed forward.

Failing forward means learning from every setback, growing through each mistake, and using failures as fuel for greater things. When we embrace this mindset, failure loses its power to paralyze us. Instead, it becomes a teacher, guiding us toward wisdom, resilience, and divine purpose.

Here are a few reflective questions:

1. How have I previously viewed failure in my life?
2. What is one failure I can choose to learn from today?
3. How can I invite God into my setbacks so He can turn them into stepping stones?
   

Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, thank You for the assurance that my failures do not define me. Help me to see failure as an opportunity for growth, wisdom, and a deeper reliance on You. Teach me to fail forward, trusting that You are working all things together for my good. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
