Devotional

Life often doesn't go the way we plan it. As teenagers, you might have an idea of where you want to go, what you want to become, and how things should work out. But sometimes, things take unexpected turns. You might feel like you're not in control, like your plans are falling apart, or like nothing is going according to script.

But here's the truth: God has a bigger plan for you, one that isn't bound by the limitations of your own script. Think about it — we all love to watch a well-planned movie with a perfect ending. But what if the real joy in life comes from living the unscripted moments? These are the moments where God steps in and shows His power, leading us through challenges and teaching us to trust His timing, even when it doesn’t align with our own.

Imagine a story where a young boy is given the lead role in a play. The script is long, filled with lines he must memorize, but he has one big problem: he doesn’t like reading the script. One night, right before the show begins, the script is blown away by the wind, and he’s left with nothing but his instincts and what he knows. So, he begins to improvise, relying on his heart, his courage, and his understanding of the play’s theme.

In the end, his performance is the best the audience has ever seen — not because he followed the script, but because he allowed his creativity, confidence, and trust in the director to guide him. This, like our own lives, is what it means to be unscripted and unstoppable. Sometimes, we may feel like we're not prepared for what's ahead, but God is always preparing us to trust Him in the unexpected.

Paul wrote in Philippians 4:13 that we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. What does that mean for you as a teenager trying to figure out life? It means you can tackle your challenges head-on, even when they seem too big or too overwhelming. You can be bold in the face of adversity, and when everything feels out of control, you can lean on God's unshakable strength.

Being unscripted means trusting God even when the path is unclear. Being unstoppable means refusing to give up, even when you’re unsure of the outcome. It’s not about perfection—it’s about permission: giving yourself permission to grow, to rise after falling, and to shine in your God-given identity.

When you allow God to be the author of your story, you become unstoppable—not because everything is perfect, but because His power is made perfect in your weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9).

You don’t need a script to be significant. You just need to show up—faithful, available, and ready

Here are a few reflective questions:

  1. In what areas of my life am I trying to follow someone else’s script instead of trusting God’s plan for me?
  2. What does “be unstoppable" in Christ mean to me personally?
  3. How can I embrace my uniqueness rather than hide it?
  4. Who or what do I need to let go of to walk freely in God’s purpose for me?

Let us Pray:

Lord, thank You for writing a unique and beautiful story for my life. Help me let go of the pressure to perform or be perfect. Teach me to walk in boldness and faith, even when the path seems uncertain. I trust You to lead me. Make me unscripted and unstoppable in Your purpose in Jesus Name. Amen.

Please say these words of affirmation after me.  Say them, mean them, own them and live them

  1.       "I am more than capable because Christ strengthens me."
  2.       "I am confident in the face of challenges."
  3.       "I trust God’s plan, even when it’s unscripted.

Dear lovelies, take good care of yourselves, I’ll see you all tomorrow
