27-JUNE-2025 - THE COURAGE TO BE DIFFERENT

THE MAIN THEME: STANDING OUT

TITLE: THE COURAGE TO BE DIFFERENT

Our bible verse for today’s devotional is:  Romans 12:2a, (NIV)

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.

Devotional:

Blending in might feel safer, but standing out is what you were made for. God didn’t design you to be just like everyone else. He gave you a unique purpose and voice, and sometimes, living that out means being different.

When your values don’t match the crowd, it can be tempting to stay quiet or go along with things just to avoid judgment. But real courage is choosing to stand firm in who you are and what you believe, even when it costs you something.

Daniel stood out when he chose not to bow to the king’s idol. He wasn’t trying to be rebellious, he was committed to honoring God above all. His courage to be different not only protected his relationship with God but also made a lasting impact.

You have that same kind of courage inside you. When you live with integrity, kindness, and faith, even when it’s unpopular, you shine in a world that desperately needs light.

Here are a few reflective questions:

  1. What areas of my life challenge me to blend in instead of standing out?
  2. What would it look like to have courage in those situations?
  3. How can I lean on God for strength when being different feels hard?

Let us pray:

God, give me the courage to stand out for the right reasons. Help me not to conform, but to be transformed by Your truth. Let my life reflect You, even when it means being different. Amen.

Please say these words of affirmation after me. Say them, mean them, own them, and live them:

  • I choose courage over comfort.
  • I will stand out and live boldly for what is right.

Go out, stand out, The world is waiting for you. I’ll see you áll tomorrow.
