TITLE: He Calls Me His Own; You Are His Own.

The bible verse for today’s devotional is: Isaiah 43:1 (NIV)

‘But now, this is what the Lord says—  he who created you, Jacob,  he who formed you, Israel: “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine’

Devotional:

We all come from families, and often, children bear the name/surname of the families they come from or are adopted into. With such bestowal comes all the benefits of being a member of that family. In the same way, when God calls us, He changes our name to His own. That means He identifies with us and confers on us the benefits of being in His family. You are His own.

Here are a few reflective questions:

• What are my thoughts about God? Who is He to me? Who am I to Him
• List some benefits of being in God’s family.
• Identify a blessing or two of being in God’s family, find a Bible verse that speaks that promise and meditate on it- say it to yourself at least 20 times today

Let us pray: 

Thank you, Father, for calling me your own. Help me stay conscious of my connection with you and see the benefits of this connection in my life, in Jesus name. Amen

Please say these words of affirmation. Say them, mean them, own them and live them

I am special. God calls me by name and I am His own.
