THE MAIN THEME: STANDING OUT

TITLE: THE POWER OF BEING DIFFERENT

Our bible verse for today’s devotional is; 1 Peter 2:9, (NIV)

But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.

Devotional:

Being different can feel uncomfortable, like you're going against the flow while everyone else seems to fit in. But what if being different is exactly where your power lies?

God didn’t call you to blend in. He called you to stand out. You are chosen, set apart to live in a way that reflects His light. That means the way you think, speak, act, and treat others may not always match the crowd, and that’s okay.

When you stand for kindness in a world of cruelty, you make a difference. When you stay honest in a sea of lies, you set a standard. When you live with faith in a world full of doubt, you shine hope.

Being different for the right reasons isn’t weakness. It is strength.

Here are a few reflective questions:

  1. Where have I felt pressure to be like everyone else?
  2. How have my differences made a positive impact on someone?
  3. What is one way I can let my difference be a light this week?

Let us pray:

Lord, thank You for setting me apart. Help me to embrace being different for Your glory. Use my life to shine Your light and bring hope to others. Amen.

Please say these words of affirmation after me. Say them, mean them, own them and live them:

  • I am different by design.
  • My difference is my strength, and I choose to let God’s light shine through me.

Have an awe-mazing day being remarkably different. I’ll see you all tomorrow.

31-MAY-2025 - THE SUPPORT SYSTEM REQUIRED WHEN ONE FAILS FORWARD

THE MAIN THEME:  FAILING FORWARD

TITLE:  THE SUPPORT SYSTEM REQUIRED WHEN ONE FAILS FORWARD

Our bible verse for today’s devotional is : Psalm 37:24 (NIV)

“Though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with His hand.”

Devotional

Failure isn’t the end of your story — it’s a chapter. And if you’re reading this, it means you’ve decided not to stay down. That’s what it means to fail forward — to learn, grow, and rise again after a fall.

But here’s the truth: you’re not meant to do that alone.

When you stumble, you need more than just inner strength. You need a support system — people and truths that help you get back up. Think about Jesus and His disciples. Even the Son of God surrounded Himself with people during His earthly journey. He cried, He prayed, and He leaned into relationships — not because He was weak, but because even strength flourishes in community.

So, what does a support system look like when you fail forward?

  1. God at the Center – He never walks away when you mess up. In fact, He draws closer. His grace is strongest when you feel weakest.
  2. Wise Mentors – These are people who have been through things and still shine. They won’t judge you — they’ll guide you.
  3. Encouraging Friends – Not the kind who ignore your mistakes, but the ones who remind you of who you really are, even when you forget.
  4. Family: (Chosen or Blood) – People who love you not just because of what you do, but because of who you are.

The following steps will guide you in building your support system today

  1.  (Identify your support system)
List 3 people who lift you up when you're down.
  2. Reach out.
If you've been hiding a failure, talk to someone safe about it. Vulnerability builds strength.
  3. Be part of someone else’s support system.
If a friend is struggling, don’t just say “You’ll be fine.” Be there. Show up.
  4. Pray for strength and community.
Ask God to surround you with the right people and to give you the courage to rise again.
  1. The Word of God – Truth when lies shout the loudest. Scripture reminds you that failure isn’t your identity — it’s a moment.

Failing forward isn’t about never falling — it’s about learning who to lean on when you do

Here are a few reflective questions:

Who are the three people in your life you can turn to when you feel like you’ve failed?

How can you intentionally build stronger connections with them this week?

 Let us Pray:

Thank You for loving me through every success and every failure. When I fall, remind me that You are still with me, lifting me with Your grace. Help me to lean on the people You’ve placed in my life for support. Teach me not to isolate, but to reach out and rise again in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Please say these words of affirmation.  Say them, mean them, own them and live them

  • I am not defined by my failures.
  •  I am growing, learning, and becoming.
  • God is with me, and I am surrounded by people who believe in me.
  •  I will fail forward and rise stronger every time

Have a beautiful day lovelies. Support someone today. I’ll see yáll tomorrow.

30-MAY-2025 - NEVER TOO LATE TO START AGAIN

THE MAIN THEME: FAILING FORWARD

TITLE: NEVER TOO LATE TO START AGAIN

Our bible verse for today’s devotional is: Isaiah 43:18-19 (NIV)
"“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.!"

Devotional:
Life often presents us with moments of failure, regret, or missed opportunities. Maybe you’ve made irreversible mistakes, or you feel like you’ve wasted too much time. But here’s the truth—no matter how far you’ve fallen or how late it feels, you can always begin again.

Think of Thomas Edison, the inventor of the light bulb. He failed over a thousand times before he finally succeeded. When asked about his failures, he famously said he didn’t fail; he just found a thousand ways that didn’t work. His persistence proves that failure isn’t the end—it’s just a stepping stone to something greater.

In the Bible, Peter denied Jesus three times, a mistake that devastated him. Yet, Jesus didn’t discard him. Instead, He restored Peter and gave him a greater mission—to be a foundational leader in the early Church. Peter’s story reminds us that failure doesn’t define us; our response does.

So, what’s holding you back? Whether it’s fear, shame, or doubt, remember that God’s grace is endless. Each new day is an opportunity to rewrite your story. It’s never too late to start again!

Here are a few reflective questions:

  1. Is there a situation where I feel it’s too late to start over?
  2. What lessons can I learn from past mistakes to help me move forward?
  3. How can I shift my mindset to see failure as a stepping stone rather than a dead end?
  4. What small steps can I take today toward a fresh start?

Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of new beginnings. Help me to release my past failures and embrace the opportunities ahead. Strengthen my heart to trust in Your plan and move forward with courage. Amen.

Please say these words of affirmation after me. Say them, mean them, own them, and live them:

  1. My past does not define me; I am entering a new beginning.
  2. I am learning, growing, and becoming better every day.
  3. I trust God’s plan and believe in second chances.
  4. I will not let fear hold me back—I am moving forward with faith.

Keep moving forward and keep growing. I’ll see you tomorrow!

29-MAY-2025 - YOU ARE NOT YOUR MISTAKES

THE MAIN THEME: FAILING FORWARD

TITLE: YOU ARE NOT YOUR MISTAKES

Our bible verse for today’s devotional is Proverbs 24:16 (NIV):
"For though the righteous fall seven times, they rise again, but the wicked stumble when calamity strikes."

Devotional:
Have you ever made a mistake so big that you thought it defined you? Maybe you failed a test, lost a friendship, or disappointed someone you cared about. It's easy to feel your mistakes are who you are in those moments. But that’s not the truth.

Imagine an artist painting a masterpiece. Do they throw away the whole canvas if they make a wrong stroke? No! They either correct it or turn it into something even better. In the same way, God doesn’t discard us because of our mistakes. Instead, He uses them to shape us into who we are meant to be.

Think of people who made mistakes but still fulfilled their purpose—Moses doubted himself, David messed up big time, and Peter denied Jesus three times. But did their mistakes define them? No. They learned, grew, and became great leaders.

Your mistakes don’t determine your worth—God does. Instead of dwelling on past failures, ask yourself, what can I learn from this? How can I grow? The key is to rise, not to remain stuck. You are not your past, and you are not your mistakes.

Here are a few reflective questions:

  1. Have I ever let a mistake make me feel unworthy? How did it affect my confidence?
  2. What is one lesson I’ve learned from a past mistake?
  3. How can I remind myself that failure is an event, not an identity?
  4. What steps can I take to move forward instead of dwelling on past mistakes?

Let us pray:
Dear Lord, thank You for loving me beyond my mistakes. Help me to see failures as lessons and not labels. Give me the strength to rise after every fall and the wisdom to grow from every setback. Amen.

Please say these words of affirmation after me. Say them, mean them, own them, and live them:

  • I am not my mistakes—I am God’s masterpiece.
  • Every mistake is an opportunity to learn and grow.
  • My past does not define me; my purpose does.
  • I rise stronger, wiser, and better after every setback.

Your story is still being written, and it will be amazing! I’L see you tomorrow!

28-MAY-2025 - TURNING FAILURE INTO OPPORTUNITY

THE MAIN THEME: FAILING FORWARD

TITLE: TURNING FAILURE INTO OPPORTUNITY

Our bible verse for today’s devotional is: Romans 8:28 (NIV)
"We know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."

Devotional:

We all face moments of failure in life. Whether it's a test you didn’t pass, a project that didn’t turn out the way you hoped, or a dream that didn’t come true when you expected, failure can feel heavy. It can leave you questioning your abilities, your worth, or whether you are on the right path at all. But what if failure isn’t something that has to stop you? What if it’s actually the opportunity you need to grow and move forward?

When we look at the lives of people in the Bible, we see that some of the greatest leaders and figures in history experienced failure—sometimes even multiple failures. Take Peter, for example. He was one of Jesus’ closest disciples, yet he denied Jesus three times when things got tough (Luke 22:61). That moment was a complete failure, but instead of ending Peter’s story, it became the foundation for his growth. Jesus didn’t give up on him; in fact, after Peter’s failure, Jesus gave him the chance to restore his relationship with Him and continue leading His church (John 21:15-17).

Peter’s failure became his opportunity for restoration, growth, and greater purpose.

What if your failures are similar? What if God wants to use those moments of disappointment to transform you into someone even stronger, wiser, and more equipped for what He has planned for you? The truth is, God can take any failure and turn it into an opportunity for growth, as long as we trust Him and remain open to the lessons He wants to teach us.

Paul, another key figure in the New Testament, went through hardships, beatings, imprisonment, and opposition. But instead of allowing those failures to discourage him, he saw them as opportunities to deepen his faith and continue to spread the message of Jesus. In 2 Corinthians 4:8-9, Paul says, “We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.”

Failure doesn’t define you. How you respond to it is what does.

God isn’t out to see you fail, but He can take your setbacks and transform them into comebacks. He uses failure to shape your character, build perseverance, and prepare you for what’s ahead. It is all about seeing failure from a different perspective -not as the end, but as the beginning of something new.

Here are a few reflective questions:

  1. What is a recent failure I experienced? How did it make me feel?
  2. Can I see any lessons or growth that came from that failure?
  3. How can I shift my mindset to view failure as an opportunity for God to work in my life?

Let us Pray:

God, thank You for never giving up on me, even when I fail. Help me to see my failures as opportunities for growth, learning, and transformation. Give me the strength to press forward, knowing that You can turn every setback into a comeback. Amen.

Please say these words of affirmation after me. Say them, mean them, own them, and live them:

  1. I trust that God can turn my failures into opportunities for growth.
  2. Every setback is a setup for a greater comeback.
  3. God is working all things together for my good, even in times of failure.
  4. I choose to see failure as a chance to learn, grow, and become stronger.

Have an awe-mazing day lovelies. I’ll see y’áll tomorrow.
