Devotional:

Life can be tough sometimes, and it's easy to feel stuck or held back by obstacles. But here's the thing: you have the power to rise above them!

Rising above obstacles with vision means looking beyond the challenges in front of you and focusing on your goals and dreams. It means believing in yourself and your abilities, even when things get tough.

So, how can you do it?

1. Identify your vision: What do you want to achieve? What are your goals and dreams? Yours and not someone else’s.
2. Face your fears: Have you got fears? Identify them. Take small steps towards overcoming your fears and doubts. Do not entertain fear.
3. Stay focused: Keep your eyes on the prize and stay committed to your vision.
4. Surround yourself with positivity: Spend time with people who support and encourage you. Think and stay positive always.
5. Take action: Break down your goals into smaller steps and take consistent action towards achieving them.
6. Gratitude: Be grateful for every step you take.

Remember, rising above obstacles with vision takes time, effort, and perseverance. But with a clear vision and a determination to succeed, you can overcome anything that comes your way!

So go ahead, rise above, and crush your goals!"

Devotional:

 You may be wondering; what a Personal Vision Statement (PVS) is?  It is a statement that describes your personal values, your strength, your goals and where you are going in life.  It is a tool intended to help you gain clarity into your world of personal leadership as it guides your thoughts, words and actions. Anyone reading your personal vision statement can easily tell your personality.

It takes a personal process of understanding who you are, why you are here, and what your purpose is.  Remember each person’s statement is unique to them. In today’s bible verse, we saw how Job made a personal statement / a commitment to guide his eyes. 

Daniel also proposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat nor with the wine which he drank. Daniel 1:8, Your PVS is a testament that you know who you are and what you will do. It determines your personal boundaries. It shows that you know your destination and what you need to do in order to get there.

With a well-articulated Personal Vision Statement (PVS), it becomes easier to make decisions, it provides you with a sense of direction, and it becomes your motivation during tough times.

Hello teenagers! Have you ever stopped to think about what matters most to you? What drives your decisions, actions, and relationships? Your personal values are the guiding principles that shape who you are and who you want to become. They guide your thoughts, words and actions.

Your values help you:

• Make decisions that align with your beliefs
• Build strong relationships based on trust and respect
• Stay true to yourself in a world with many influences
• Create a sense of purpose and direction

How to Craft Your Personal Values:

1. Reflect on Your Beliefs: What do you stand for? What do you believe in?
2. Identify Your Role Models: Who inspires you? What values do they embody?
3. Explore Your Passions: What are you passionate about? What values drive those passions?
4. Consider Your Relationships: What values do you want to uphold in your relationships?
5. Write Them Down: Create a list of your top values and why they matter to you

Examples of Personal Values:

• Empathy
• Competence

Where there is no revelation, people cast off restraint; but blessed is the one who heeds wisdom’s instruction.

Devotional:

To find your vision, you must first understand what it is and where it comes from. Vision is the ability to see your future with clarity and purpose. It's the insight into your destiny, born out of your purpose on earth. Your purpose is the reason you exist, the essence of your being, and the solution to humanity's challenges that God designed you to provide.

Understanding Your Purpose Unlocks Your Vision

Recognizing your purpose is the first step to finding your vision. When you understand why you exist, you'll be able to see your vision clearly. Vision is not just a mental image, but a faith-inspired glimpse of your future. It's the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1).

The Source of Vision: God

Every great innovation, from airplanes to the internet, was first conceptualized and visualized. Similarly, your vision is a personal view of your future, inspired by God.

Your Vision is Your Deepest Desire

Don't search for your vision outside of yourself. It's as close as your deepest desires, thoughts, ideas, plans, and dreams that consistently resonate within you. Vision is not just an interest, but a passion that possesses you.

Here are a few reflective questions:

1.     Why am I here? Why do I exist? What problem was I born to solve? What solutions should I bring to my world?

LET US PRAY: 

Lord, thank you for your word to me today, I do not want to perish because of lack of vision. I asked that as I spent time in your presence, may I catch a glimpse of my future that you have proposed for me.  Amen
