03-MARCH-2025 - DANGERS OF PERSONAL GROWTH

THE MAIN THEME: ACHIEVING PERSONAL GROWTH

TITLE: DANGERS OF PERSONAL GROWTH

The bible verse and quote for today’s devotional is:  Mark 8.36 (NIV)

What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul?

"The greatest danger in life is not failure, but success without integrity."

– Rick Warren

Devotional:

There’s a saying: “Not all growth is good growth.” At first, that sounds weird, how can growth be bad?

Think about a garden, even if the farmer meticulously plants specific crops, chances are there will be weeds growing among the good crops. Weeds the farmer takes out continuously to ensure his crops are not disturbed. In the same way, our commitment to personal growth would often require learning new things, reaching incredible heights and sometimes, hitting below the mark- each of these can spring up the weeds of pride, unhealthy competition, compromise, discouragements and such vices that could threaten to stunt our growth or stop us. These are weeds we must intentionally take out to ensure our growth is not endangered. As the Bible says, what good is it if we chase down personal growth and lose our essence in the process?

Here are a few reflective questions:

-In what way can I balance growth with Godly wisdom?

-What can I do to ensure my personal growth is healthy and God-centered?

 Let Us Pray:

Dear God, help me stay grounded in you. May my life and success always bring glory to you in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Please say these words of affirmation after me. Say them, mean them, own them and live them:

  • I am growing in line with God’s plan for my life.
  • My growth is guided by wisdom, humility, and integrity.

Enjoy your day. I’ll see you tomorrow.  Take good care of you.

02-MARCH-2025 - CONSISTENCY AND DILIGENCE ARE KEY FOR PERSONAL GROWTH

THE MAIN THEME: ACHIEVING PERSONAL GROWTH

TITLE: CONSISTENCY AND DILIGENCE ARE KEY FOR PERSONAL GROWTH

The bible verse for today’s devotional is: Galatians 6:9 (NIV)

"Let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up." –

Devotional:

Being an Olympic medallist is a dream come true but what we do not often hear about is the behind-the-scenes years of gruelling preparation that gives the athletes a chance on the world stage. It is said that Usain Bolt trained for four years for a 9 second race. Wow! That sure sounds extreme- but imagine if he had given up just before he had his chance at the Olympics? We would never have known his name.

It takes more than wishful thinking to attain great heights. Sometimes we dream of doing big or new things – like being closer to God, learning a new instrument or going after that nudge in our hearts, but then we stop or even turn back when we are faced with difficulties or self-doubts. The encouragement today is- as the farmer does not dig up his seed to confirm if its still growing under the soul, let us plant the seed, then continue to water it consistently and know that in due time, we will see great results- let’s trust the process.

Here are a few reflective questions:

- How has inconsistency impacted one area of my life?

- What is one commitment I will stick to from today to improve that area of my life?

 Let Us Pray:

Dear God, I ask for the diligence to do what I ought to even when I don’t feel like it, so that I can reap the blessings you have for me, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Please say these words of affirmation after me. Say them, mean them, own them and live them:

-I stay consistent even when I do not see a change yet.

-I am diligent, and my diligence will bring a rich harvest.

-I trust God through it all.

Take good care, Have an awesome day.  I will see you tomorrow

01-MARCH-2025 - BUILDING HEALTHY BOUNDARIES

THE MAIN THEME: ACHIEVING PERSONAL GROWTH

TITLE: BUILDING HEALTHY BOUNDARIES

The quote for today’s devotional is: "Daring to set boundaries is about having the courage to love ourselves, even when we risk disappointing others."

— Brené Brown

Devotional

Elizabeth struggled with saying no. Whether it was staying up late to help a friend with homework, letting people borrow her things without returning them, or allowing friends to pressure her into things she wasn’t comfortable with. She didn’t want to disappoint anyone, so she always said yes.

But after months of feeling exhausted, used, and disrespected, Elizabeth started realizing something: saying yes to everyone else meant saying no to herself. She had no time for her own needs, her schoolwork was suffering, and it felt like people only liked her for what she could do for them.

One night, she listened to a podcast and heard the above quote by Renee Brown. It hit her that she needed to protect herself and not just please others. She started setting boundaries, learning to say no when she needed to, and surrounding herself with friends who respected her limits.

Even Jesus had boundaries. He spoke up when others tried to manipulate Him (Matthew 16:23), and not everyone was in His inner circle (Mark 5:37)

Setting boundaries means:

Saying no to things that harm your peace, values, and well-being; protecting your time and energy; surrounding yourself with people who respect your limits and understanding that you are not responsible for making everyone happy.

Here are a few reflective questions

1.What time did I struggle to set a boundary, and how did it make me feel?

2.What are some areas in my life where I need stronger boundaries?

3.What is one step I can take today to protect my heart and peace?

Let us Pray:

Lord, help me to build healthy boundaries that honor You and protect my heart. Give me the wisdom to know when to say NO in Jesus name, Amen

Please say these words of affirmation after me. Say them, mean them, own them and live them:

  1. I have the right to set boundaries that honor God and protect my peace.
  2. Saying no is not selfish—it is wise and necessary.
  3. I am worthy of relationships that respect my limits.

Have a beautiful day and see you tomorrow.

27-FEBRUARY-2025 - WHAT IS PURPOSE

THE MAIN THEME: THE PURPOSE DRIVEN LIFE

TITLE: WHAT IS PURPOSE?

The bible verse for today’s devotional is: Proverbs 20:5 (NIV)

"The purposes of a person’s heart are deep waters,  but one who has insight draws them out."

Devotional:
Purpose is the divine reason for your existence, a heavenly assignment uniquely crafted for you. Throughout history, God has used ordinary people to fulfill extraordinary purposes. Think about Joseph - Sold into slavery by his brothers, falsely accused, and imprisoned, it seemed his life was derailed. Yet, every experience was part of God’s grand design. Joseph himself acknowledged this when he said to his brothers, “You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives” (Genesis 50:20).

Joseph’s journey teaches us that purpose often unfolds in unexpected ways. Though the path may seem unclear, God’s purpose for your life remains steadfast. Every trial, skill, and opportunity you encounter is part of His plan to mold you into the person He created you to be.

Here are a few reflective questions:

  1. How can the challenges you’ve faced shape your understanding of purpose?
  2. Are you willing to trust God even when His plans are unclear?
  3. Who might benefit from you walking boldly in your purpose?

Let Us Pray:
Lord, help me to see the beauty of Your purpose in my life. Even when the road seems uncertain, may I trust in Your plan and remain steadfast. Use me as a vessel to fulfill Your will. Amen.

Please say these words of affirmation. Say them, mean them, own them and live them:

  • I am created for a purpose.
  • Every experience in my life is part of God’s divine design.
  • I will walk confidently in God’s plans knowing His plans for me are good.

Do have a fulfilling day. Take good care of yourself and see you tomorrow!

26-FEBRUARY-2025 - LIVING AND LEAVING A LEGACY THAT ENDURES

MAIN THEME; THE PURPOSE DRIVEN LIFE

TITLE: LIVING AND LEAVING A LEGACY THAT ENDURES

The quote for today’s devotional is:
"The choices you make today determine the stories you’ll tell tomorrow."

– Unknown

Devotional

As young people, the idea of leaving a legacy might seem distant—something to think about "later in life." But the truth is: your legacy doesn’t start someday; it starts today.

The way you live now shapes not only your future but also the lives of those around you. Every choice you make, every relationship you build, every action you take creates a ripple effect. You have the power to inspire others, set a standard for kindness, and contribute to a world that is better because you’re in it.

Your legacy isn’t about waiting for a perfect moment or achieving big milestones. It’s about how you show up each day—how you treat others, how you chase your dreams, and how you stay true to the values that matter most to you.

The world needs your light now. You are never too young to make a difference or to start creating a legacy of positivity, faith, and love.

Here are a few reflective questions

  • What kind of person do you want to be remembered as?
  • How can the choices you make today shape your future?
  • What small, consistent actions can you take now to inspire others?

Let Us Pray

Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the gift of youth, energy, and opportunity. Help us to live with purpose, even in our young years. Teach us to use our time wisely, to make choices that honor You, and to inspire others through our actions. May we leave a legacy of kindness, courage, and faith that glorifies You. Amen.

Please say these words of affirmation after me. Say them, mean them, own them, live them

  • I have the power to make a difference today.
  • My actions create a ripple effect of goodness and hope.
  • I am building a legacy of love, kindness, and purpose.

Do have an awesome day! Take care of yourself, and see you tomorrow!
