27-MARCH-2025 - ELIMINATING SELF DOUBT TO BUILD SELF-CONFIDENCE

THE MAIN THEME:  ACHIEVING PERSONAL GROWTH

TITLE: ELIMINATING SELF DOUBT TO BUILD SELF-CONFIDENCE

The bible verse for today’s devotional is: Isaiah 41:10

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

DEVOTIONAL

Self-doubt is a feeling of uncertainty or lack of confidence in oneself, one’s abilities, or one’s judgment.  It can manifest in various ways, such as questioning your decisions, second-guessing your actions, or feeling inadequate despite evidence of your competence.  2Corinth 12:9 “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”  Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.

Self-doubt is common to human existence.  Everyone experiences self-doubt at some point in their lives. So, relax, you are not alone! Sometimes, it is triggered by past failures, negative feedback, social comparisons, fear of judgment, and perfectionism can all contribute to self-doubt.

When self-doubt becomes persistent and overwhelming, it can hinder your progress, prevent you from taking risks, and negatively impact your mental health. The good news is that self-doubt can be overcome.

Firstly, identify your triggers; especially your thought pattern, challenge these negative thoughts: 2 Corinth 10:5 “casting down imaginations, and every thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ”, Focus on your strengths: Reflect on your past achievements and remind yourself of your capabilities. Set realistic and achievable goals, accomplishing them builds confidence and motivates you towards higher goals.  Jere 29:11 reiterates God’ commitment on our life journey. “For I know the thoughts that I think towards you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”

When self-doubt creeps in, be confident in this that He who began a good work in you, will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

Here are a few reflective questions;

  1. What are my core values and how am I living them in my daily life?
  2. What am I doing to nurture my creativity and imagination? What are my biggest fears and how are they holding me back

Let us Pray;

Thank you Lord, for your word to me today. Forgive me Lord in any way I have doubted your ability to see me through my life journey, Today I choose to trust you with all my heart.  I am your project and you are famous for completing what you started. Thank you in Jesus name Amen

Please say these words of affirmation after me.  Say them, mean them, own them and live them

  • I am strong and resilient;
  • I am enough just as I am.
  • I am not walking alone, I am divinely encompassed.

Enjoy your day, while I see you, tomorrow

26-MARCH-2025 - NAVIGATING THE STRESS OF PERSONAL GROWTH

THE MAIN THEME:  ACHIEVING PERSONAL GROWTH

TITLE: NAVIGATING THE STRESS OF PERSONAL GROWTH

The bible verse for today’s devotional is:  Matthew 6:34 (NIV)

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own”

DEVOTIONAL

Personal growth is a journey that involves pushing beyond our comfort zone, which can be stressful. However, nurturing your mind, body, heart and soul is a responsibility we should never delegate.

Growth often comes with challenges and uncertainties.  We must learn to acknowledge and accept that feeling discomfort is a natural part of the process. Ambition is valuable, but unrealistic expectations can set us up for failure and increase stress. Therefore, set realistic goals: break down your larger goals into smaller, manageable steps. This will make the journey less overwhelming and allow you to celebrate small victories along the way.

Prov 12:25 “Worry weighs a person down; an encouraging word cheers a person up.  Don’t hesitate to reach out to friends, family or a mentor for guidance and encouragement. We are not meant to navigate personal growth in isolation.  Talking about your challenges can help alleviate stress and provide valuable perspective. Always remember that vulnerability is a strength, not a weakness.

Prioritize self-care: make sure you’re taking care of your physical and mental well-being. This includes getting enough sleep, eating healthy, exercising regularly, and engaging in activities you enjoy. 3 John 1:2 “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.”

Embrace imperfection: Understand that setbacks and mistakes are a part of growth. Be kind to yourself, learn from your experiences, and keep moving forward. Phil 4:8 Finally brethren whatsoever things are

Celebrate your progress, by acknowledging and appreciating how far you’ve come.  This will motivate you to continue your personal growth journey and not grow weary.

Practice self-care, meditate, lean on friends and family for support, and seek out therapy if you are feeling stressed.  We all need help sometimes!

Here are a few reflective questions;

  1. What is my typical response to discomfort and challenge? Are they helpful or hindering my growth?
  2. Am I hesitant to ask for help when I’m struggling? Why?

Let us Pray:

Thank you, Lord, for your word to me today. I receive grace to embrace the opportunities for growth and fulfilment that come with living a purpose-driven life in Jesus name Amen

Please say these words of affirmation after me.  Say them, mean them, own them and live them

  • I am worthy of growth and happiness, and I give myself permission to evolve.
  • I am strong and resilient, and I can overcome any obstacle on my path to becoming my best self.

Do have an awe-mazingly pleasant day. Take good care of yourself. I willI see you, tomorrow

25-MARCH-2025 - OVERCOMING IMPOSTOR SYNDROME

THE MAIN THEME: ACHIEVING PERSONAL GROWTH

TITLE: OVERCOMING IMPOSTOR SYNDROME

The bible verse for today’s devotional is: Psalm 139:23 (NIV)

"Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts."

Devotional

Abigail's hands were sweaty as she stood backstage. She had practised for weeks, memorizing every line for the school play audition. But as she watched the other students perform, doubt crept in.

"I’m not as talented as they are," she thought. "What if they realize I don’t belong here?" When it was time to go on the stage, her mind was racing. Even though she had prepared, she felt like a fraud, like she was pretending to be good enough when she really wasn’t.

After the audition, her best friend ran up to her. “You were amazing!” she said. Abigail shook her head. "I don’t think I’m good enough."

Her friend rolled her eyes, "Seriously! Abigail, you worked hard for this. Just because you feel like you don’t belong doesn’t mean it’s true."

Later that night, Abigail opened her Bible and read Ephesians 2:10. It was a reminder that God had created her for a purpose. Maybe she didn’t feel like she was enough, but God said she was.

Have you ever felt like Abigail? Like you don’t deserve to be where you are or that sooner or later, people will find out you’re not as good as they think? That feeling is called impostor syndrome, and it’s something even the most successful people struggle with.

But here’s the truth, God doesn’t make mistakes. He created you with a purpose and has already equipped you with everything you need to succeed. God calls you chosen, capable, and loved so instead of listening to fear, trust God's plan and walk in confidence.

Here are a few reflective questions:

  1. What are some lies I have believed about myself, and what does God’s Word say instead?
  2. How does knowing that God has uniquely designed me for a purpose, change the way I see myself?

Let us pray:

Lord, help me to see myself through Your eyes. When doubt creeps in, remind me of Your truth. I trust that You have created me for a reason, and I choose to walk in confidence. Amen."

Please say these words of affirmation after me. Say them, mean them, own them and live them:

  1. I am fearfully and wonderfully made by God.
  2. I silence the voice of doubt and trust in God’s truth about me.
  3. I am enough because God created me with purpose.

Have a confident day and see you tomorrow.

24-MARCH-2025 - MAXIMISING MORNING ROUTINES

THE MAIN THEME:  ACHIEVING PERSONAL GROWTH

TITLE: MAXIMISING MORNING ROUTINES

The bible verse for today’s devotional is: Psalm 5:3 (NIV)

“In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly.”

Devotional

A routine is a sequence of actions or behaviours that are regularly and repeatedly followed.  It’s a set way of doing things, often done without much conscious thought, like a habit. A good morning routine can help you start your day off on the right foot and set the tone for a productive and successful day. Guess! This is what you desire?

In today’s text, David demonstrated his habit of praying to God in the mornings. We also read through the scriptures other biblical characters that had this morning routine: In Job 1:5 Job made it a habit to “rise early in the morning and offer burnt offerings”, Hezekiah “rose early” to worship in 2 Chron 29:20.

Our Lord Jesus Christ exemplified this in Mark 1:35 “Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed” You see, prayer is an important aspect of our morning routine that we must not take for granted. Following Christ's example, we can use the acronyms “REPs” to form part of our morning routine. Read, Exercise, Pray and Shower. In no particular order, however, we need to get everything done in the morning.  God speaks to us through His word, when we read the Bible, we are tuned to hearing instructions from Him, what a good way to start our day. We are mentally alert and our body positioned to carry on with the daily activities, in prayer we make our request and intentions known to God.

You can incorporate other activities to your morning routines. When you consistently practice these routines, it can be helpful for: Productivity; they help you get things done efficiently, Organization; bringing structure to your day, stress reduction and habit formation.

Question is what is your morning routine?  The truth is that you have one whether you plan it or not

Here are a few reflective questions;

  1. If I could wave a magic wand, what would my ideal morning routine look like? What activities would it include, and how would it make me feel?
  2. Am I using my morning time wisely? Where am I wasting time? How can I streamline my routine to make the most of my mornings?

Let us Pray:

Thank you Lord, for your word to me today. I receive grace to approach my morning with intention and purpose. O God thou art my God; early will I seek thee in Jesus name Amen

Please say these words of affirmation after me.  Say them, mean them, own them and live them

  • I am in control of my mornings, and my mornings set the tone for a successful day
  • I am grateful for the fresh start each new day provides

Enjoy your day, while I see you, tomorrow

22-MARCH-2025 - WHAT ARE THE DETERRENTS TO PERSONAL GROWTH

THE MAIN THEME: ACHIEVING PERSONAL GROWTH

TITLE: WHAT ARE THE DETERRENTS TO PERSONAL GROWTH

The bible verse for today’s devotional is:  Hebrews 12:1 (NIV)

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.”

Devotional

The following are factors that deter our Personal G.R.O.W.T.H.

G – Giving in to Fear

Fear of failure, rejection, or the unknown keeps you stuck in comfort zones, preventing growth and new opportunities. It limits your potential and stops you from taking necessary risks.

R – Refusal to Change

Stubbornness and fear of discomfort block transformation. Holding onto familiar patterns, even when they no longer serve you, prevents progress and personal development.

O – Over-Dependence on Others

Relying too much on external validation weakens self-trust. Constantly seeking approval can lead to people-pleasing and losing sight of your own values and decisions.

W – Worldly Distractions

Focusing on temporary pleasures—social media, status, or material things—takes attention away from personal and spiritual growth, keeping you from deeper fulfillment.

T – Toxic Mindsets

Negative self-talk, limiting beliefs, and self-doubt create mental barriers. If you believe you can’t grow, you won’t take the steps needed to succeed.

H – Hesitation & Procrastination

Waiting for the “perfect time” leads to inaction. Growth happens when you take consistent steps forward, even when conditions aren’t ideal.

Here are a few reflective questions:

  • Which deterrent do I struggle with the most?
  • What steps can I take to remove these obstacles?
  • How can I invite God to help me overcome these challenges?

Let Us Pray:

Heavenly Father, reveal to me the things that are hindering my growth. Help me to let go of fear, break free from toxic mindsets, and embrace change. Give me the discipline to focus on what truly matters. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Please say these words of affirmation after me. Say them, mean them, own them and live them:

  • I release all fear and embrace my God-given purpose!
  • I am open to growth and change!
  • I will not let distractions, doubt, or hesitation stop me.

Do have an awesome day. I’ll see you tomorrow.
